SFTP over LAN extremely slow (~150 KiB/s)

Connecting to my Ubuntu ssh server over my local network, transfers proceed extremely slow, around the 150 KiB/s mark. Using the command line client I get around 2 MiB/s. Any ideas what could be up? Is Cyberduck only designed for WAN speeds? Thanks.

Yeah that would make sense to me. I'd leave in the option for the reformat outgoing messages tho. Some people seem to like it. Something like: Display style = Unaltered with stars with username (preferably by doing more than just saying **Sadmac something) reformat outoing = on off would seem logical.

Yeah, it's the incoming text that currently bothers me really.

But still options options are the way :D.

So does that mean there's any chance of adding the local redisplay functionality to Adium?

Perhaps even with an option for turning it on / off? :D

Adium's done in objective C I assume? (silly Apple for mad decisions about cocoa) So not sure if I'm capable of adding it myself.

Behaviour of /me in Adium

I'm not certain if this is a bug or a feature request or even if this behaviour is intentional. Anyway. If I type /me thinks Adium rocks to someone, then Adium turns it into "*thinks Adium rocks*" and sends that to the person. Which is kinda weird (imo) but I suppose is kinda sensible if I...
