Most of these things you are talking about hasn't been integrated to Adium. And as it seems you are using a beta of .88 and that's a middle update which doesn't deliver any new features.
You have to wait for 1.0 to get new features. And the MSN features is being discussed.

The one that shows up in the growl notify and also the one that shows up when you hover on a name that doesnt have a display pic on msn. And I did a search about MSN nudges...

I can bother to answer on the first one and the last one. 1. it most likely is a butterfly if adium hasn't loaded the icon, OR the user might be at a friends house or using the webmessenger which makes into one of MSN's default icons. And if you are refering too that they don't have an icon AT all, ...
