Open Keychain Access.app in /Applications/Utilities

Locate the Adium.GTalk.<whatever> entry.

Double-click on it, and click "Show password:" It'll ask for your user password, click "Accept Once" and the GTalk password will show up.

I think I misread it as "doesn't support." I shouldn't troll the forums when I wake up. :)

Untrue-ish. The Pidgin team has made a conscious decision to display it as a normal client, and not mobile.

I think that libpurple made a deliberate move to not calling sidekicks mobile. That's equivalent to "hiptop for AIM," right? :o that's a very odd change. I wonder why they decided to go that route. I still think it's similar to somebody logging in on their cell phone - no guarantee of a r...

This particular user is using a Sidekick to log into AIM, so it's a mobile device.

Well, it sounds like what this guy's reporting - mobile contacts are being treated as online, away or idle (not mobile).

Sorry to report it's not working for me either evan, on trunk [19654].

On trunk [19385] (heh, old) on my laptop it works as it should.

This is over AIM.

Add yourself to your own contact list.

The status menu, file menu and menu bar will all show you per-account status as well.

Since you posted with a username = an email address, I think you posted it before registration was required (for anti-spam reasons).

I think you're confusing Bonjour and @mac.com AIM addresses.

When you created your iChat/.Mac account, you were given (or you picked) a username@mac.com AIM address, which is likely what people are contacting you on.

You can add it, in the Accounts screen, as a .Mac or a AIM account.
