Same here. Went from 38 people online, to only 22. Luckily I had the .dmg of 0.82, so I just went back to that.

I had this same problem in .77, relating to a buddy of mine having a weird background color set in their profile. I never found out who it was, but updating to the .8 beta fixed it immediately.

That's an incoming, not an outgoing, color... someone on your buddy list has set a profile which has one or more invalid HTML color tags.
