Hell, the carbon change I made isn't even necessary (confirmed).

Growl doesn't have to be 64bit, just the framework. That greatly limits the code scope and it is easier than GC support.

There's a new window flag in Leopard to have a window appear in all Spaces.

There should be an option to show Growl notifications in all spaces, currently the window only appears in the active space. This is probably OK for transient notes, but sticky notes should be visible until closed. There's a new window flag in Leopard to have a window appear in all Spaces.

I've recompiled the framework myself. Very easy, barely any changes. X86 64 works. I've not tested Carbon or PPC 64 though. Basically, I just removed the seg1addr arg to ld, turned off "All Symbols Hidden by Default" (it seems Objc-2 can now hide classes) and then make a change to the carb...

There's a mem leak in the Growl 1.1.x Framwork. Every time a notification is sent, several bytes are leaked (in my case 64). Using Malloc Debug, I tracked it down to + (NSDictionary *) [GrowlApplicationBridge registrationDictionaryByFillingInDictionary:(NSDictionary *)regDict restrictToKeys:(NSSet *...
