Re: Mail 4 diables Growl 1.2B3
Yesterday I ran the deinstaller and installed 1.2B3 Growl and Growlmail. I still get the warning. Make sure you're using the GrowlMail uninstaller introduced with 1.2b3; uninstalling Growl will not help. Then, to make sure it worked, run Mail again after uninstalling, before you reinstall. Is this ...

Re: Code-signing certificate error compiling Growl form source?
It means exactly what it says: You don't have our certificate. This is as it should be.
You should build with the Debug configuration, which won't attempt to sign.

Re: Faster Growl Messages in 1.2 beta are great, but...
… I would still love an option to have the message pop up instantly and then fade away. … I think things used to work that way prior to 1.14. No, Growl has never done this. I don't see the advantage. In my experience, it's actually easier to miss something that pops up instantly than something that...

Re: Can't Install GrowlMail on 2 Different Accounts
I tried installed GM (after first uninstalling) but got an "Installation Failed" error. Try running this in a terminal window from an administrator account: sudo pkgutil --forget com.growl.growlmail.pkg If that doesn't help, please post the full installer log that you have after trying an...

Re: Colloquy won't display correct style with 1.2b3
Colloquy does not use Growl in 64-bit (i.e., on Snow Leopard). They're waiting for 1.2 final before they include our updated 64-bit-compatible framework. You're seeing Colloquy's own built-in notifications (which Bubbles is designed to imitate).

Try 1.2b3. As noted on the beta page, run both of the uninstallers on the b3 disk image first, then install Growl and GrowlMail b3.

Re: still can't seem to uninstall
Also, try the beta. It has a more usable uninstaller (no more “where is GrowlHelperApp”, among other things), and Growl itself works much better under Snow Leopard now.

Re: Can't Open Input Server - GrowlSafari
I have no idea why they can't open it, but the solution is simply to remove GrowlSafari, especially since you don't use it. I do not not see an uninstaller in the download. Is uninstalling it as simple as putting the app in the trash? :b The GrowlSafari application introduced in the 1.2 betas is no...

Re: Time Machine Notifications
Working..But CPU is crazy high 95%! The most likely cause of this is that you have a lot of messages in your system log. This is probably because you've been running Growl 1.1.6 or earlier lately. These versions emit thousands of warning messages per day under Snow Leopard. The remedy is to upgrade...

Version 1.0.1 works on Snow Leopard as well as Leopard, so that should work just fine for you.

Re: Can't Open Input Server - GrowlSafari
1. I do not use Safari. Ever. Then why did you install GrowlSafari? 2. Why does Microsoft Word, Firefox, TextWrangler, etc. even care if GrowlSafari can't open the input server? No, that's not what it's saying. GrowlSafari is an Input Manager bundle: it is the input server that these applications c...
