Re: Growl notifications have mostly stopped
I have been having the same issue. Do you have that same message in your Console? Because if not, you haven't. I get notifications for Safari (RSS), … So Growl is working, then. … but not Adium, http://adiumx.com/faq/GrowlInAdium Tweetie, Tweetie doesn't actually support Growl yet. It has the Growl...

Re: Skype (version 2.7) not working with Growl
I figured it out myself... it seems that the legacy setting from the older versions of skype were still in effect even if you can't see the checkbox in the settings. defaults write com.skype.skype SKUseGrowl -bool TRUE I tried it and it works - problem solved, I now have Skype working with Growl. A...

Re: Skype (version 2.7) not working with Growl
Incidentally, I found an old thread on this forum where someone had exactly the same issue. Unfortunately, the issue wasn't solved. Yeah, and there are a lot of threads like that on the Skype forums. Seems like the Skype developers don't even respond to them. For what it's worth, I couldn't get it ...

Re: Notifications Not Forwarding
All of you: First, install the beta on both machines: http://growl.info/beta.html If that doesn't solve the problem: What kind of machine are you forwarding from? If it's a Mac mini, what kind of processor(s) does it have? What kind of machine are you forwarding to? If it's a Mac mini, what kind of ...

Is that with “All Processes” or “My Processes”? You didn't include it in your screenshot.keeprunning wrote:just seeing this in activity monitor:

Re: Sounds w/o "play user interface sound effects"?
Doesn't Adium *already* play arbitrary sound files without requiring system alerts to be enabled? If so, is there a reason Growl can't use that code? There are two problems with Adium's sound implementation: 1. Its use of QuickTime has a crash in it under certain circumstances (unplugging/repluggin...

Re: Growl notifications have mostly stopped
It looks for anything that says Growl. Search in Activity Monitor does a similar thing. Not by default. The Terminal command searches all processes, regardless of who owns them; the Activity Monitor, by default, only shows processes running under your account (“My Processes”). There's a menu in the...

No you don't. All your crash logs are in the CrashReporter folder in the Logs folder in the Library folder in your Home folder.Myles Taylor wrote:Well I could do that but then I'd have to reinstall GrowlMail …

Re: Growl notifications have mostly stopped
Just checked console messages and found "warning: Could not register GrowlNotificationCenter for interprocess access." That help at all? Yeah—it proves that it isn't just your imagination. Generally, this means that there's another GrowlHelperApp process on the same machine. Maybe...

Re: GrowlMail: Summary notification works, individual does not..
It's possible that both of you are running the old GrowlMail, not 1.1.5b1, and it's just the same crash manifesting differently. Go to both of these folders: Your Home folder Library Mail Bundles Your startup disk Library Mail Bundles and throw out GrowlMail. Then reinstall GrowlMail from the 1.1.5b...

Re: Skype (version 2.7) not working with Growl
Having installed Growl, I'm struggling with an issue with getting it to work with Skype. Growl works with any application that will talk to it. Your problem, as you correctly stated in your title, is with getting Skype to work with Growl. However, despite Skype being on my list in the Growl Applica...

Re: Sounds w/o "play user interface sound effects"?
The fix will be to use Audio Queue Services instead of System Sound, but Audio Queue Services only exists on Leopard, not Tiger. … Third, you can't just tell AQS “there's a sound file; go play it”, so we'll need to write an encapsulated sound player class… Good news! A friend tipped me off to a new...

Re: GrowlMail: Summary notification works, individual does not..
However, I just downloaded GrowlMail 1.1.5 beta as that was supposed to have the fix in it, It's not just supposed to have the fix for the Safari 4 crash, it does have the fix for the Safari 4 crash. That it did not fix your other problem does not prove that 1.1.5b1 does not fix the crash. but I ha...
