“errCoreEndianDataTooShortForFormat”. Sounds like your 'drag' data is corrupted, or (worst case) you need to have un-byte-swapped and byte-swapped versions, and put the correct version into the file depending on what kind of Mac the user is running. it works fine when a trigger i set. so i am not c...

Re: Growl notification for new clipping
Here is the entire script. This script doesn't even use Growl. But you will still get this error if you are running it in Script Editor: An error of type -4940 has occurred “errCoreEndianDataTooShortForFormat”. Sounds like your 'drag' data is corrupted, or (worst case) you need to have un-byte-swap...

Does this also fall under “I believe”? If so, please try it and let us know whether it asks for your admin password. Not for GrowlMail.

Re: growltunes artwork not working
It only shows an iTunes icon, at least for a significant amount of the songs in my library. Works for me. Please go to the folder containing the GrowlTunes application, select (click once on) the application, and press ⌘3. What version number does it show? (You can press ⌘1 to get back to icon view...

Sounds like copyProcessBundleURL should be high on my hit list whenever I get around to going through the source code and killing gratuitous uses of Carbon and Core Foundation.

Re: Growl not working. No Apps registering and No notifications.
The strangest thing is that when I go into the theme menu where you can change the styles of the notifications, when I hit Preview, No notification shows up. So I have yet to see a notification at all. Anything in the Console? (/Applications/Utilities/Console.app) They all seem to run slowly at sta...

Re: Growl and mail - slow after 10.5.6
This is the GrowlMail-makes-Mail-slow thread. If your problem is that GrowlMail makes Mail crash , you are in the wrong thread . Growl and GrowlMail are not the same thing. When we say “disable GrowlMail”, we mean “disable GrowlMail ” , not “disable Growl”. As far as I know, none of us are also hav...

Re: Growl and mail - slow after 10.5.6
Even after uninstalling Growl, trashing it, emptying the trash, and restarting, Mail still crashes with the "probably caused by Growl" alert. You mean Growl Mail . That's why uninstalling Growl had no effect: Growl is not GrowlMail. And if GrowlMail is causing the problem, removing someth...

You're using this member wrong. You can set it to a function for GrowlApplicationBridge to call, but you don't call it yourself. Instead, call Growl_SetDelegate(NULL).Dorregaray wrote:The destructor is as follows:Code: Select all

I'm running Mac OS 10.4.11 on an Intel Macbook and attempting to install Growl Mail from Growl 1.1.4 and am receiving the common error message "Please try installing again." First, please try the Growl 1.1.5b1 beta: http://growl.info/beta.html If that doesn't help, please post the install...

Re: Suggestion: Application-Customized styles
It seems to me that it would add to Growl's ability to quickly and efficiently notify the user if you could customize the style of the notifications for each application—that way, if, say, I get a Mail notification, I can immediately see that it's a mail notifications because it's a different color...

Re: growlnotify 1.4 still drops messages on 10.5.6
I'm still having issues with growlnotify 1.4 on Mac OS X. You mean 1.1.4. We are nowhere near 1.4 yet. … 1 out of maybe 8 messages gets lost. Fixing this will require a major compatibility-breaking API change. As Chris said, we have a ticket for it: https://bugs.launchpad.net/growl/+bug/267767 If y...
