SpamSieve also uses Growl to notify you about Mail
I'm doing fine with SpamSieve and Mail in 10.5.2. I don't have GrowlMail enabled yet, but SpamSieve also supports Growl and notifies me about all my incoming mail. The only odd thing I'm noticing in 10.5.2 is that the screen seems to flash sometimes on notifications. Not like a Universal Access hear...

Back to the original post...
Swapping SpamSieve back to English not only started Growl showing notifications for SpamSieve, but for all my other apps as well! (And that's with the current Growl version.) I have no idea why, but that's what happened. My MacBook has been full of weird behaviours since I "upgraded" to Le...

Update on Growl 1.1.2, OSX 10.5.1 and SpamSieve 2.6.5
Michael Tsai (SpamSieve's developer) suggested I try running SpamSieve in English (I normally run it in Vietnamese). I turned off all the other languages (Finder/Cmd-i), and rebooted SpamSieve. And now, SpamSieve has started displaying Growl notifications! I have no idea why. More info as it comes i...

Regressing Growl helps
Meanwhile, a user had reported at the SpamSieve forum, that uninstalling Growl 1.1.2 then installing Growl 0.7.6 got Growl working again with Leopard. This also worked for me. :) I now have notifications from my other apps. 0.7.6 doesn't seem to support Nano, which is a nuisance, but at least I have...

What is your default display style set to? (you mention using Nano for Speed Download, presumably as an application-specific style) Nano is my default style. It displays correctly when previewed, and as Speed Download notifications. Changing to another default style does not change this behaviour, ...

The output from Conversation is not related to Growl, its reporting problems Leopard has detected. Thanks, I didn't realize that. I thought I'd better include it, just in case. I have not installed a Logitech Control Centre of any type. I am still confused as to why Growl should still be working wi...

Multiple apps not working with Growl in Leopard
Hi everyone :) I have read here that GrowlMail isn't working. However, other apps aren't showing notifications, as well. On my MacBook (OSX 10.5.1, Growl 1.1.2), my Growl prefs work, I can display the sample bubbles, and GrowlHelperApp logs actions in my Console. Growl notifications (I use the nano ...
