I have had the same issue for a long time now, but I do not use Shape shifter or any other themes. Could there be another reason for this issue? It has occurred both in OS 10.4 and 10.5

Are you sure this is an issue? Even if someone is blocked, they will still show up on your list when they are online. The point is that they can't see you. To see if someone is blocked, Get Info on them or check whether it says "Block" or "Unblock" in the Contact menu. I block t...
