Changing the setting let me build it completely, and I installed it, and I get sound. Except the sound is choppy and laggy, and it disappears after a while.

I did as told, but the build failed on me at the very end, saying "Command /Developer/usr/bin/g++-4.0 failed with exit code 1"

There's a perian.component, but I assume since the build failed, it's not a working thing?
