So I just tried iChat, and it seems to no longer have this problem. Perhaps it was fixed in a version since I stopped using it. Should I still file a trac ticket? Here's how to reproduce it so that you can see what I am talking about: Open the International pane in System Preferences. In the Languag...

Font resetting no longer works in 0.85
Whenever I type Chinese in Adium (and other programs) and then switch back to English input, my text is still in a Chinese font, which looks odd. Version 0.82 of Adium added the feature where I could press enter without typing anything to send a 'blank' IM and switch back to the default Helvetica fo...

Now that I think of it, I was wrong before. In order for an attacker to perform a man-in-the-middle attack, he would have to switch DH keys as they go from one person to the other. Since the secure IDs are based on the DH keys on both ends, I guess they wouldn't match if a man-in-the-middle listenin...

And the session IDs are generated from the DH key. I think ba...

More specifically, can you point out what in this document corresponds to the secure IDs? Depending on the answer, verifying the secure IDs may or may not be a secure solution.

No interface to find your own OTR public key fingerprint
Whenever initiating an OTR encrypted chat with a buddy for the first time, a dialogue is displayed asking you whether you want to accept their key fingerprint. The idea is that you confirm this with them in person so that you are assured of their identity. That's a great idea, but the problem is tha...
