Clarify
Just to clarify, im using still 10.4.11 and today tried with adium x 1.2.1b1 and still cannot connect in the office and i can at home. If i use MSN in the mac works fine If i use the debug window it get stuck in Writing file /Users/xxxxx/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/libpurple/...

Issue connecting
I have the same issue and added the info provided for the hosts.
Im using Adium 1.2 and im behind a firewall and use proxy to connect to internet with safari.
Another thing is that i can connect in windows without any change in MSN just have the proxy in explorer
