I've had exactly the same behaviour problems and solved it by removing growlsafari.bundle from the SIMBL folder. Now all works as it should, including GrowlSafari.

Is this not done by the installer automatically?

I've set Growl to show a bezel when mail arrives in hotmail when I'm using Adium. However, I can't stop Adium from displaying a popup that has to be clicked to disappear.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Like Adium but I really want rid of the menubar icon. Does anyone know how to do this? I've searched around a bit but can't find an answer.
