Remove the applescripts from your profile / away message / display name

If you have slow scripts (or your scripts are blocking because an application isn't responding) there's nothing Adium can do but wait for the script to time out or finish.

hmm, so you even had this behavior with a completely fresh system user? I can't think of a tool that would really help track it down, but I have a few questions that might help. - Is the lag related to accounts being online? Say, does Adium lag typing in a custom away message right after being opene...

This isn't the standard behavior so perhaps you still have an 'open new window' event somewhere?

In the official AIM client (at least on Windows), there's a preference option to disable this.* I assume it's a server-side setting, then. How about creating one in Adium? That would be a libgaim level feature requests which falls outside where we normally work :) If this functionality was present ...

The icons are relatively easy to replace. We're not artists, so if somebody with the skills wants to make a replacement icon that we like it would be more than appreciated
