But seriously, why not turn the "/me" thing into a plugin? That way those who want it can configure it (without adding to the prefs) and those who don't want it don't need to see it. If all you see it as is two extra keystrokes, you're completely missing the point of the feature. I might ...

I personally like the way /me acts now. It's the same command as is used to emote in IRC and bnet chatrooms (as well as other chatrooms, most likely). Example, if I type the following into IRC or bnet, /me jumps up and down it would appear sort of like: - TheSilverFox06 jumps up and down - The only...

Re: Behaviour of /me in Adium

Yeah, the current behavior isn't that great. Some believe it should only alter local display, while others feel that it should alter outgoing content as well. In the past when we've attempted to make a decision here there has been a large number of complaints from users on either side, to the point ...

Re: 96*96 sized user pictures in contact list?

I would like to see the "Icon Slider" go further than to 48*48... You may manually edit the icon size in your .listLayout file (drop it on a text editor) to a larger value. I'd be curious to see a screenshot of your contact list with insanely large icons, because in my experience even 48x...

Re: Picture size

Yeah, I agree, it would be nice to be able to see our contact's pictures in a larger format... sometimes people chose to use 640x480 digital photos; how are we supposed to look at thoses ? Even though it's supposed to be an ICON that represents you, pepole don't use the function like that since it ...

As stated above, styles may implement support for background coloring in .8. So, with the mockie or minimal message styles and both allow text options turned on, you will see messages exactly as they were sent, colors and all :)

The change only affects dragging of the contact list, not clicking. Double clicking still works to open new IMs. Try it yourself and see...

Show offline contacts, open the get info window, and use the cursor keys to move up/down the list across all your contacts. The metacontacts will display as META in the info window and open the drawer showing who they contain. But I would still have to write them down manually, which is what I dont...

So I pose a question. The way Adium behaves now (dimming the add button) leads the user to believe that Adium is a fault. Is there a way we could make this dialog behave differently so that the user knows they're the one screwing up by entering an invalid name or doing something stupid like unchecki...
