Re: 3.0.0 Beta 7 is out

I am on 10.6.8 It is extremely stable for me, and I have no intentions of upgrading right now.

Re: 3.0.0 Beta 7 is out

How come every time I launch Vienna, I get tons of "conversion errors" in my console log?? I am a stickler for keeping my logs as clean as can be. Here is an example of what I see at each launch (with the times changing, of course): (sorry, I should have posted this log as an attachment =-...

Re: Return key vs. double-click behavior

Hey guys, thanks for backing me up on this. I'd posted that so long ago I'd nearly forgotten! As one who tries to avoid the Google conglomerate at every turn beside their browser, I can care less about this whole "Google sync" issue. But this internal browser snafu really grinds my gears, ...

Re: [READ CAREFULLY] Google Reader Sync

Thanks for all your work, Salvatore!

I'm curious if this release has solved the problem with 2.6, mentioned here:

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=23907&start=0

namely, the inability to open articles within the internal Vienna browser.

Thanks!

Re: 2.6 Link Issue

Yes, but that means we have to touch a mouse. I like to go mouseless, and use the keyboard only. I'm assuming Michael is now laying low for the holidays; hopefully it will be fixed by the new year. In the mean time, here is where one can find the very stable previous version: http://sourceforge.net/...

Re: Vienna 2.6 released

Michael, have you started looking at this issue yet? I realize it may take awhile to fix, but just a comforting word that it's being investigated would soothe a lot of us who prefer the internal browser.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I've tried it several times. Even trashed the .plist.

Has it anything to do that I'm still using Snow Leopard?

Re: Vienna 2.6 released

I've always liked my links to open in Vienna's browser, rather than an "alternative browser". This does not seem to be working for me... all links open in Safari, even if otherwise checked in Preferences. Is there a workaround? Or is this a new "feature" of the new version (I've ...

It's due to GlimmerBlocker. Disable Glimmerblocker, and that will disappear.

Re: Bug: "Customize Toolbar ..." not working (2501)

The toolbar problem seems to be localized to Leopard. When I upgraded to Snow Leopard awhile back, all was well.

I just use " 0", (that's command + 0), and the activity window opens, which does exactly what you ask.

When will 2.6 come out of Beta?

Anyone have a guess? Do any 2.6 users find any major faults? I'm thinking of grabbing it, but I'd sure like it to come out of beta first.

Steve, can you answer this?

Any 2.6 issues?

I was wondering if anyone who has been using the new beta version has run across any problems of note. Persistent crashes? Is it a huge memory and/or CPU hog? Any bizarre idiosyncrasies?

I think I'll take a dive, but I just thought I'd get some opinions first. Thanks in advance.

Re: Version 2.6 and Beating NetNewsWire

stevepa (the original developer) made an appearance here about a month ago. He hinted at an update, new build 2502, mentioned here:

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=21993 (see page two of thread)

But he's been AWOL ever since. I'm sure he's a busy guy.

Re: syncable iphone app?

Hey Steve. Long time, no see!

I was wondering if there are any bug correction/minor enhancement updates coming up soon? I know that customize toolbar bug (try customizing your toolbar  ) has been out there for a couple of years now. Any chance that will be fixed soon?

Thanks

I see what you mean about the tabs.

Also, don't forget there's a keyboard shortcut to help speed along the tab closure process: Command-W

Re: Vienna tabs?

If you mean can you "open windows instead of tabs", I don't think that can be done. But you can, of course, select "Open links in external browser" in the preferences, if you'd like.

I just wanted to say, "Welcome back Jeff!"

I, for one, thought the developers had abandoned this project (and forum, too).

I hope Vienna still has some life in it.
