This happend to me for my icq contacts when I started to use revision 23184+msnp15. I used 1.2.4 or 1.2.5 before that.

Adium doesn't support status messages for msn yet. Work is being done on this though so it will support it in the future.

MSNP14/15 won't be ready for 1.3 but there might be a chance that msn-pecan can be in 1.3 or at least as a plugin. msn-pecan is an alternative msn branch that's based on libpurple which supports msnp12 atm which means it has support for personal messages. There is a bug in this build which does that but it goes away if you reconnect.

You will have to wait for msnp15 which will probably be enabled in Adium 1.4 or perhaps there will be an adium version of the msn-pecan plugin sooner which supports status messages.

Hmm, I found some weird bug. It seems I can only send one OIM and then I have to reconnect to be able to send another one so I haven't been able to really test the token updating yet. :/ Edit: Can anyone with the old build confirm if the same thing happens in it? If you are talking about the status message then the problem is that adium is using an old version of the msn protocol which doesn't support "personal messages". If you mean that people doesn't see you online then that's another problem that seems to be server related with some of the msn ...
