If you really tried all settings then your only options is to wait until msnp15 is enabled in adium(or the server you get connected to decides to work with msnp9 again). Adium is currently using msnp9 which is really old and the servers are often having problems with old versions while amsn is msnp1...

Some stuff seems to have been commited to the msnp15 branch today so maybe someone should build a new build, visionkrew perhaps.

1.3 will hopefully support msnp14/15 if it gets enabled in pidgin before 1.3 is released.

It is very sad how long the Pidgin team has taken to just release or fix the minor bugs with msnp 14 and now 15. :\ Yes, but there are patches for most of the known issues and have been for a couple of months so hopefully somebody will commit them so that 2.5/1.3 will be released ...

When this milestone is reached http://developer.pidgin.im/milestone/Activate%20MSNPV14 so perhaps for 1.3. There is a custom build that supports both in the beta forum that's working pretty well for me.

You are probably talking about status messages for msn contacts which Adium doesn't support yet. You'll have to wait for msnp14/15 support or check out the Adium beta forum.

I found a bug now, it seems that sometimes avatars doesn't get updated on some users. It doesn't always happen though and if I reconnect MSN they gets updated. The problem is that it seems they get identified as being mobile connections or something because the msn logo isn't after their email adres...

I had some problems with icq and that the message window isn't transparent. I also had some weird bug where the away message didn't change so I had to writ...

The same way you change it for other protocols.

I haven't had any problems with msnp15 so far but there are some other bugs like my icq contacts lost their aliases and that the message window can't be transparent. It's transparent while being minimized but not while it's open so something fishy is going on there.

The same problem happens for me with the custom 1.3svn msnp14 build visionkrew made so you are not alone.

I would really like to test msnp15 too. This build is pretty outdated now though so hopefully someone will make a newer one and upload it somewhere since visionkrew doesn't seem to post his.
