The icq servers afaik doesn't have a setting that works as allow only users in my list and it can't be emulated either like it can for msn. You should be able to select Yahoo as contact type in the add contact window if you are logged in with your yahoo account. You have added your yahoo account to Adium right?

I have some updated information on the cause of this error. If you experience this error the search your debug log for "list_op: 7". If you find a contact with it then remove it from your allow or block list using Adium Menu->Privacy Settings...

Provide a debug log on what happens when you try to login.

A corporate MSN account is probably a OCS/LCS account and that means that it uses SIP. See http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/48 for more details.

Which version of Adium are you using? Try 1.3.3rc1 at http://beta.adiumx.com/ if you are using an older version.

If 1.3.3rc1 doesn't work then I might have a possible solution to fix the problem so report back if it doesn't work.

You can have all the users from each account/protocol in different groups and then group all chats from each group in different windows(Accounts->Organize tabs into new windows by group). Something seems to be up with your addressbook. I don't use it myself but there is probably some way to repair it so google about it.

It will probably happen again and when it does then you can test my latest patch.

Is the problem gone now since nobody writes here anymore? Adium can't be fixed if you don't help us test which solution works. I think that my last patch should work 100% of the time but I can't test it.
