ichartwork works fine for me, sometimes it causes adium to hang for a few seconds if a i have a few discussions open as it has to change the icon in each.

Well if iChat is using Carbon api's for their emoticon menu (from what i'm reading), what is skype using as they have something very similiar in terms of implementation?

I'm pretty sure you can't. I would say file a trac ticket for it unless I'm wrong.

Please make sure the adium sound volume is not all the way down. To check go into the preferences>Events and you should then see the volume slider.

I'm almost positive you can see this in the Chat Transcipts of w/e contact your looking at for each conversation you've had with them. Although you can only see this in conversations that have remained open when the contact signs on/off, or has changed status. So, some logs will show it and some won...

I'm pretty sure this is a known issue. I think it deals with the downloading of buddy pictures. I know there are issues similar to this with AIM as well. I would definitely say file a trac ticket unless a developer chimes in here.
