what version of adium are you using?and make sure when you post an away message you aren't posting a status message instead.

People, PLEASE read this thread for posts by Evands. He explains what the problem is. There is no need to say that you have this problem. All of the repetitive posts are useless, it is a known problem.

Yup. I am just using iChat for now with Chax. I also configured MSN to work in iChat through Jabber.

hmm this got me thinking of core animation and involvement with adium. oh the possibilities.

IIRC the lead (original) developer went to work for Apple and sold Proteus, at which point the new owners decided to give it away for free, but have obviously dramatically reduced the amount of effort they pore into it. that sounds about right. if you look at the new tab interface for iChat you can...

doesn't adium only support individual file transfers atm, which is why I think this happens?
