There are preference panes in each Library folder. I try clicking on the X in the notice. When I click on it it starts a download.

I have the exact same problem. Now I have two Growl notifications saying a newer version is available.
I wish I could close them without starting a download.

Can't install new version
I install the new version and it seems okay but I keep getting Growl notices about a new version being available. WHen I click on the notice to close it is downloads another copy. Thinking maybe the install isn't working correctly I tried disabling Growl first. Still no luck. Any ideas what I'm doin...
