Ahhh.. Good thinking Mr. VacBob! I bet the user template has it checked. I'll try that.
In the meantime, as a workaround I wrote a dialog script and saved it as an app called Perian, and dragged that into the WGM.
It seems to have fooled it.

Perian not allowed in Leopard clients with managed apps
Hi All. We just upgraded our lab to 10.5.4, and I can't seem to get Perian on the "approved" apps list. In Tiger (10.4.11), I added the plist file to the allowed applications list and it worked perfectly. It seems in Leopard, I can't add that file. I also tried adding the Perian QT compone...
