The folder is there for me (in my user folder's Library folder, not in the root-level one).

Re: File transfers not an option?
Necropost! I searched for "file transfer" topics within the last year and found only one, which wasn't as related to my problems, so I went back to All Results, and, well, here I am, updating a two year old thread, wondering why we still don't have file transfer working fully. If it is in ...

Re: Yahoo contacts appear online but have really signed off
Indeed, I have been eagerly checking for updates a couple times a day manually even though Adium already checks on its own, hoping for this issue to be solved. Looking forward to 1.3.6!

Separate Lives, Separate Windows
I understand that Adium now can keep your IM accounts separated fairly well from each other, giving separate status messages and avatars for each account. But they still all show up in the same window -- and yes, I am aware of the detaching window feature. The problem is that those detached windows ...

Re: Download empty files
I can only throw my hat in the ring as well, as someone else who is getting denied permission to download his own site. I too end up with 0 KB files. It explicitly gives me a failure message (simply "Permission denied") when it gets to any file that was uploaded through the site's own soft...

Re: On Mac/Quicktime 7.4.5: color distortion
Okay, here's a little more info, because I wasn't satisfied with my last post. If I open one of the two Fraps-made movies (recorded by a couple PC-using friends), which end in .avi, in QT Player (using Perian 1.1 because 1.1.1b1 crashes upon doing so), and copy the whole movie into a new movie, and ...

Re: Software Update
Yeah, Tick, that would make sense. Oh, and I can confirm the same issue with 1.1 about the box appearing behind everything else.

Re: On Mac/Quicktime 7.4.5: color distortion
Wow. Weird. Yes, gbooker, that clip was showing the interference that I took a screenshot of, in a previous post. I just attempted to build and install the latest version from svn (1.1.1b1), but it was mostly crashing QT Player, then it reverted to showing only black for at least one Fraps-generated...

Re: On Mac/Quicktime 7.4.5: color distortion
You're saying that ffmpeg would be fixed, if the videos played in VLC, right? Because I tried the latest nightly and one Fraps video works and the other doesn't. Oh well, I guess I would have to take that up with the ffmpeg guy.

Re: On Mac/Quicktime 7.4.5: color distortion
Okay, here's a clip from the movie: http://www.sendspace.com/file/rn4kwr. It was originally a .avi, but saving the excerpt from QT Player forced it to .mov, which I don't think makes a difference. The video was not recompressed in any way. It was taken with Fraps. Oh, and I have the latest version o...

Re: Software Update
I have also seen the "No Updates Found" dialog box hide behind the System Preferences (it was back in Perian 1.0, but it might still happen and I just haven't seen it yet). Of course the usual method of saying that there's no update for something is just a string within the preference pane...

Re: On Mac/Quicktime 7.4.5: color distortion
Hmm. I have the same issue as the OP: http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t72/Iritscen/Screen%20Caps/Oni/Gumbyvidproblem.png I am in OS X 10.5 on an Intel Mac. That noise dances along the bottom and ruins everything. I read the ticket that was linked to... I don't understand what action I am supposed...
