I'm not sure with cyberduck, but, you can do it through the command line, yes.
Zips - unzip filename.zip
Gzip - gunzip filename.gz
Tar - tar -xvf filename.tar
Tar.Gz - tar -xzf filename.tar.gz

Hey,
I'm wondering if it's possible to use a persistent connection to an FTP server using Cyberduck. My internet tends to be spotty (Time warner :-( ), and cyberduck likes to reconnect every transfer, so it gets annoying when I can't connected...
