The iTunes status puts the current track you are listening to in your status message. As you are using MSN it won't have any effect as Adium doesn't support the Personal Messages.

I don't think this is an msn thing. I'm using the official client a lot at the moment and have no problem pasting link directly from Safari into MSN. The links send no problem.

The personal messages of MSN are the Status or away messages as seen in AIM. The only way to achieve a now playing in MSN is to put it in your nickname like I said before.

It's possible to put it in your name by using the script %_iTunes or %_artist %_album.

This is not set by the status as Adium does not support the MSN personal messages.

Because the development environments for Adium and aMSN are different, I don't know how to explain it as I don't have much knowledge on it. But in a forum where both are supported this has come up a lot, but it's not possible.

The personal messages willb e implmented once the Gaim guys have finished implementing MSNp13 into the libgaim code. They are working on it.

Adium does not support the Status messages in MSN due to a limitation of Libgaim the library Adium uses for its MSN protocol. It does support the receiving of custom emotes but no the the sending. No problem. One way around this is to use the script %_statusMessage in your display name. That way you can just use the iTunes status.

The iTunes status, is for the away/personal message. IT does work. I managed to setup a jabber msn gateway today and can see the msn status messages, can't see the custom emotes though.

I also seem to be having issues making it change my picture and nickname as it calls it. Anyone any ideas why? It says it should work!

I have this problem as well. All was working before the final release of 1.0 but now I don't see any emotes, just the broken image sign. I have it turned on in the preferences.
