Re: MSN contacts shown as offline but they are online
I think (and hope) that I found a solution. I logged in to MSN with WLM and removed and added the problematic contacts again. Now I see them correctly.

Re: MSN contacts shown as offline but they are online
This happens when I use either :
- adium
- pidgin (LInux)
- ebuddy
- MSN Web Messenger
When I use WLM it works fine.
... I know that it looks like it is beyond the topic of Adium but do you have an idea what could be the reason ? It is very annoying

Re: MSN contacts shown as offline but they are online
Tex-Twil, are those contacts using Windows Messenger, the program that is built in in WindowsXP/SP2? I use Windows7 with WLM2009. If a contact with Windows Messenger signs in, he appears online for a second and right after that he appears offline, althought he didn't sign off or set his status to &...

Re: MSN contacts shown as offline but they are online
Hi,
in my case I tried the beta and the 1.3.8 and it still the same. The contacts that I can't see are not using Adium.

I'm using the latest beta ... but I"m not sure if the problem is related to Adium anymore. I'm trying on Windows with WLM and it also seems strange. I let you know.

MSN contacts shown as offline but they are online
Hi,
since some days I see some contacts as offline even if they are online. If I connect using MSN Messenger I see them online correctly. What's going on ?
I also tried adding/removing the contact but it doesn't help.
Thanks,
Tex

email address disaplyed instead of nickname
Hi, I'm not sure if this is related to Adium but here is the issue. My gf & me use both adium. It's been several days that when she is connected I see her as "her_address@blah.com" instead of her nickname. It does not matter if I use Adium or MSN Messenger so I suppose the issue is on ...

Can't send links to MSN contacts
Hello,
every time I send a link to a msn contact I get the error
It's pretty annoying. When I send the link via ICQ protocol, it works.
What's wrong ?

Re: Starting a multi-person chat???
Hello, I have the same question but the suggested answers don't work. You have to start a normal chat with one person you want in, then right click on the other person(s) name and click 'Initiate Multi-User Chat with ......' It's not very intuitive but there you go. When I do this, I have one window...
