When you feel that it's in a fairly complete form, I think noting this new documentation will be worthy of a blog post.

It's where documents should go, though... and there's not a better home-level folder for it which is accessible to Spotlight.

And in the "consistency across messengers" department, iChat and Yahoo Messenger both put their transcripts there, as well.

I'd be okay with just moving our transcripts to the Documents folder in 1.3. We could leave a soft link behind in Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default to let old versions of Adium keep logs in the same place for minimum confusion.

Just load /Applications/Utlities/Console and look at the main Console Log. Any output from Adium?

Do you have any "input managers" installed, such as one to cause windows to behave differently than they do by default?

If your concern is the CPU fan running from usage, Growl is a non-issue. If nothing is sending notifications, Growl doesn't take up any CPU time.

What Console output do you get?

The only emails I see are regarding #2274, a ticket you submitted, from March '07, and one from November 2004 in which I was cc'd regarding a project you were asking Adam Iser to work on with you. Perhaps you should resend the email in question?

Autoaccept is broken in 1.2.1 but has been fixed for the next release, 1.2.2.

What message style are you using?

It is only with the application's own icons (never with another icon that the app supplies, e.g. an Adium buddy icon)?

Have you tried redownloading Adium?

It has been in that location for about 4 years. Be sure you're starting with Home.

What Console output do you get when you load Adium?
