This is a great task for an applescript :) A fine place to look for a starting point would probably be Hypercube's Artwork applescript.

libfaim is a library, mostly developed by Gaim hackers, for accessing the OSCAR protocol. It forms the basis for Gaim's (and therefore Adium's) OSCAR protocol implementation; it was also the basis for Fire's OSCAR implementation, though the Fire version has been changed in many ways (many ways which...

Well, the real client seems to do the name lookup as part of the protocol itself. Meanwhile doesn't seem to have user look-ups in there. Yeah, meanwhile doesn't have a directory service yet. The relevant feature request on meanwhile's request tracker is: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?fun...

This has been noted several times, and lately I actually think I have figured out why... Its because the users use iChat for ICQ! I dont know why gaim doesnt like iChat + ICQ, but I know its related to gaim because Proteus does the same... Sometimes they have nicks, and sometime they have numbers. ...

5) A universal hot-key for easy keyboard access. For instance Command+L would bring up the contact list/message window. By universal hot-key, do you mean one that would work even when Adium is not the active application? If so, this is something we may add in the future, as it has been request a lo...

Gaim terminology: A plugin is a module which can be added or removed individually from Gaim - just what you'd expect a plugin to be on first blush. Plugins may be static or dynamic; static plugins have their code compiled directly into the Gaim executable whereas dynamic plugins are loaded from thei...

Yeah, if we could avoid the LDAP string altogether, which apparently some other clients are able to do, that'd be awesome.

I have it locally so if you use option to bring it up, it'll time out after 10 seconds; if it's set to always come up, it doesn't time out. Another option would be the harder key sequence, but this is already coded and it doesn't matter too much either way :)

Wouldn't apply elsewhere like in the table itself though, in any case... I think all protocols should be require to use all lowercase no spaces names :P

Re: holding option on startup

(Isn't it redundant with Mac OS X's built-in multiple user accounts?) It's really for us developers, not intended as an end-user feature although a few probably use it for one reason or another Anyway. It would be nice if someone could code in a 5-second or so timeout for it to log in the default u...

Enforcing a new standard isn't too difficult - just make new submissions subscribe to it. We just have a solid body of xtras already in place and it'd be nice to upgrade them in one fell swoop. On the other hand, Catfish_Man , we could implement .zip decompression via a very similar mechanism quiet ...

To accept aim:goim? URLs, we need to set ourselves as the preferred target for the URLs. The problem, I believe, is with iChat. It doesn't set itself as the preferred target for these URLs. However, this is just a guess. Yup, I agree. Official AIM grabs the aim:goim protocol, so do we. iChat is set...

What he means is that the '/' in the user name becomes a '-' in the file name, and then the log viewer uses the file name so thinks '-' was the original character. I don't know how we could work around this with a flat file system... really would need to be SQL or something to have data like that. S...

Hard to say... unfortunately your system is producing well-nigh-useless crash logs :(

If you get a chance, could you try removing the Quicktime plugin (just move it to another folder temporarily or whatever) and see if Adium still crashes for you?
