I'm getting the same thing, and have been for weeks. Any new ideas out there. I've trashed prefs, but can someone list all the files that might be deleted? I've even created whole new Identities, to no avail. I LOVE Adium, but it's not working. I tried putting up Proteus, and get the same crash, so...

What's the email on the crash report?

File > join group chat doesn't work with MSN i think. If I remember correctly, this will be possible in 0.8, in a context menu for a MSN contact with the option "Start group chat". I might be wrong though, if any devs would like to confirm or correct that then please do :) You're right :)...

It wouldn't be required... Quicksilver's plugin page offers both a 'download' and an 'install' link - perhaps the xtras submission page could have a checkbox, [ ] allow automatic installation, which defaults to Yes.

Should be fixed for the next release for real

This functionality is already available in Adium... we just need to make the Xtras site make use of it.

For example, commands typed in the inputline. No other protocol has anything close to that. *devil's advocate* We already support commands typed in the input line... zephyr, sametime, and jabber use them, and Yahoo does in current gaim CVS (which isn't close to being ready to come into libgaim yet)...

Just testing with Adium to/from the official Mac Yahoo! Messenger client. That link, and others I tried, both pasted in and entered via Add Link, work fine. What program is your friend using?
