My problem is that i use gadu-gadu either 'normally', or with a jabber transport. So, I'd like to make meta-contacts from those duplicates. It could be done easily, if connecting to gadu-gadu didn't crash Adium. Two things: 1) That's really random in this thread; I realize the word meta-contacts wa...
Actually, that app will no longer work past about .68 or so... we used to store all contacts for ordering information, but it was slow and unnecessary.
I actually updated the app at some point for a user who had a similar problem, having it read the per-object preference files.
Well, for a local DO (i.e. on the same system), you're right that it's wasteful to convert to NSData* and then back to NSImage* just to use one representation, though the way to go would be [[image bestRepresentationForDevice:nil] TIFFRepresentation]; I haven't been following the network-enabled Gro...
I would think manual ordering is more advanced configuration, so how we do it now in the get info box might work well. Colin is working on this, but he may have put it on the back burner and be willing for someone to give him a hand or take it - drop him an IM (http://www.adiumx.com/team.php)
The auto-response is completely handled by the client (that's us!). Right now, we always send an auto-response one or way or another; if you don't specify a specific one, we assume the away message. Several protocols don't support auto-responses, so this shows up as just a normal message; on AIM and...
Are you sure it works in Gaim? I'm not positive but I believe I tried this a while back and couldn't get Gaim's AIM oscar code to do it... perhaps on other protocols it does?
This is an old bug that appears to have never been fully addressed. I posted it a long time ago at the Old Forums™ and am resurrecting it here because I still encounter it daily. Interesting - I believe we addressed this a while back and I remember testing some cases that didn't work before but did...
