Sorry,
As I explained since my machine has been swapped over I don't have this issue any more.
What is SVN? (Software version number?). Let me know what to do with the above link please.
Thanks,
Ori.

Re: Unable to view H.264 video on AppleTV
Also, a third party is making a mini DP -> HDMI adaptor that's due out this month. Yes, but the macbook doesn't send sound out of the mini DP which means another cable that is if your tv supports another input while while using hdmi.....which mine doesn't. Such a shame as Apple TV would be a perfec...

Re: no sound issue after iDVD burn
Guys,
Just trying to help here, but try running onyx and clearing the quicktime components and see if that solves your problem.

Re: Unable to view H.264 video on AppleTV
You make an interesting point, but what other options have I got for wirelessly streaming video from my mac to my TV. until there is a cable available to convert mini DP to HDMI there really is no way to do this without complicated cables. Apple have really annoyed me on this too as the MINI DP does...

Re: Unable to view H.264 video on AppleTV
First of all, we no longer support the AppleTV due to the crap Apple has been pulling with it recently. On the ATV, you will need to deactivate Apple H.264 component as it cannot play all H.264 content and even crash on much of it. You can find the instructions with a search; I will not post the in...

Re: no sound issue after iDVD burn
Ok, now I feel really bad. In the end I had a new macbook (unibody 2.4) given to me due to a logic board failure. (they switched hard drive) Anyway.....upgrade to 1.3 from 1.0 to create the sample for you and for some reason the sample I created worked fine. Will be trying it with another few files ...

Re: no sound issue after iDVD burn
Ok,
Will post a link to a download once I have transcoded the file. Won't be until the weekend as the macbook is having a new screen.

Re: no sound issue after iDVD burn
Hi all.
Has anyone found a work around for this problem other than installing perian 1.0?
It is so strange that it works perfectly with perian 1.0 and not with 1.1,1.2 or 1.3 and not all computers.
I just can't seem to understand why this happens.

Re: no sound issue after iDVD burn
Tried with a DivX/44.1khz avi, since that was the only short file I had on hand, and it worked. I'll do something more traditional and see if that's any different. (might also have something to do with VBR/CBR or the app that created it... avi is really a pain when you have to deal with details lik...

Re: no sound issue after iDVD burn
I guess there's some problem with the audio track header - different parts of OS X are randomly stricter about it for no apparent reason. I don't see a good place to start debugging, though. Does the DVD have a silent audio track or no audio at all? And if you can save the avi as a MOV with VLC or ...

Re: no sound issue after iDVD burn
Same problem in perian 1.3
The audio starts fine on the DVD and then goes silent. usually after a black screen. its really strange as perian 1.0 works perfectly.
Anything I can do to help you try and find a solution? Email me on ori.reiss@mac.com and I will do my best for you.

Re: Un/Install Problem . . .
Hmm..... I'm not sure what to suggest other than just google search and find Perian 1.0 do download. Install it using the installer and fingers crossed it will remove previous traces of Perian. It did for me. I clicked uninstall first to make sure that perian was removed prior to install. That shoul...

Re: Un/Install Problem . . .
I had that!! The problem was that I had check for updates ticked (in perian prefs) and the Perian server was down.
I would uncheck that anyway to prevent the auto update to 1.2
Hope that helps.

Re: Perian 1.2 burns DVD without sound
Just to update. The file I was burning was an AVI file and plays 100% when just viewed on quicktime. I changed to 1.0 and it works 100% fine on burning. Has anyone got any ideas at all? I haven't tried burning different media types but will do that tonight and see what happens. Other than that I gue...

Perian 1.2 burns DVD without sound
Hello, I have seen this on the forum, but I am really confused. I have recently migrated from my powerbook G4(running perian 1.2) to a brand new macbook 2.4 Transferred everything across and a new bug starts happening. A few mins into any film I burn onto dvd (that requires transcoding) the sound ju...
