Maybe you have another program that shows track changes (like quicksilver or iscrobbler)? Great hint, thanks. That's the solution to the iTunes side of the problem. It's iScrobbler sending notification via Growl, too. iScrobbler is listed in the Growl preferences, I unchecked it. Now that's fine. A...

I have the sampe problem here: - GrowlTunes works as expected (sending notifications as set in the preferences: Music Video Display) - But Growl itself sends notifications for tracks. Hey, that's a nice idea. I am not used to AppleScript so that didn't came to my mind. But is there a way to code a script that really ties the launch of GrowlTunes to the launch of iTunes? That would be slightly different from your tiny script because often I do not launch iTunes by clicking on its ...

Tie GrowlTunes-Launch to iTunes-Launch?
Is there a way to do this? I am starting to have many apps in my startup-setting that I only need sometimes. It would be nice to somehow tie the launch of GrowlTunes to iTunes so that it doesn't launch when I don't need it, but does when I do need it.

Growl Preference pane in System Preferences empty
I installed Growl (Single User. Installation for All Users failed). The Icon appears in the System Preferences, but when I click on it I see the Growl Preference pane empty.
