I realise this isn't exactly your standard IM protocol, (it's more like a small group internal twitter + status message) but is there any interest in having/developing an ability for Adium to access this service? Journal entries could be updated by, well, sending a message out, while status updates ...

Even though this doesn't at all answer your question, I bet this could be done with a actionscript of some sort. ? I suppose an Applescript could push/pull files from one's iDisk. I was more hoping for a .Mac SDK-based solution... especially as I don't know how Adium would react to having its prefe...

I know some (many/most) don't bother w/ a .Mac account, but that doesn't stop the devs...
