There seems to be a Snow Leopard specific problem with SSL and XMPP/Jabber logins. On 10.5.x, I can log in fine. On 10.6, I get failures with Error: SSL Handshake Failed. Confirmed with a few other folks so I'll log a bug.

The sounds for me were definitely still there. Just that they were never getting used. So it wasn't an installation problem (and then, if they had been, I did try reinstalling anyways). Since I first posted, the problem has, inexplicably, largely abated. I haven't had a failed audio issue for almost...

I've just realized that at some point in the last month or so, AdiumX has lost the ability to play sounds. Any sounds. Even the default ones. AdiumX 1.3.2 MacOS X 10.5.6 Quitting and restarting seems to fix the problem about 1 in 20 times. I've whacked the preferences and started over - it makes no ...
