The Terminal command worked for me as well. How in the world did you figure that one out? I hav not restarted my mac but I assume it's a permanent solution. Thanks for the tip.

I updated to perian 1.1.3 because I was no longer able to view flash video files (no audio but video was OK). That solved that problem but perian 1.1.3 created a problem with iChat where I was no longer able to view my buddy I was video chatting with although my buddy could view me. So updating solv...
