Same here,
after installing Safari 4 Beta, Mail crashes whenever there is new mail and it tries to put up a notification via GrowlMail. I have uninstalled Safari 4 and going back to version 3 fixes the problem. So the issue is clearly with Safari 4 breaking GrowlMail...
