Update.
After MUCH searching in the bug reports, I found this problem. http://trac.adiumx.com/ticket/11271
The problem is with the update file. IF you go to Adiumx.com and download the new Adium and install, it'll work fine.

I am having the same problem. Adium updated itself yesterday, closed and when it tried to relaunch, couldn't. I keep getting a message giving me the opportunity to relaunch but it's not working. Everything was fine prior to this. I tried steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 at http://trac.adiumx.com/wiki/Troublesho...
