thanks, that did the trick. i had chinese set as my second language in the list. now it's english (dutch if the first one)

After I moved to China for study the preference pane in System preferences changed it's language totally to Chinese. Now I've studies Chinese, but it's still far from enough to understand everything in there.

So i'd like to know how i can put it back in english.

What you can do is go to "Preferences -> Advanced -> Messages" and check the "Hide while Adium is in the background". That way whenever you "cmd-tab" or hide adium, the msg window will be hidden too. There's a similar preference for the Contact List. Maybe these things...

Is it possible to also make an option in the preferences to make the message screen auto-hide on inactive? actually the same effect as is already possible for the contact-list. but i found myself desiring the same effect for the message-window. hope this is an option you guys would seriously conside...

Is there a way to prevent Adium from showing the entire picture when i'm dragging one from iPhoto into a message window? problem solved: i had all of my emoticons put in folders in the package. that's why he didn't recognize them probably

there are 3 more statuses in the list, but they didnt fit in any more.

then maybe the complete preferences window must be enlarged to fit to the number of Statusses?

now that i have numerous away-statusses entered in the list, it wont show the bottom few statusses. there is also no scrollbar added when the number of statusses are too many to show.
is there anything for in development of already fixed?

is there an option or is there something being developed on it to also show the custom emoticons from the contacts in the list?
for example: every time i am conversating with a contact i get this code (hug), which supposed to be a custom emoticon form my contactperson.
