That's the plugin that allows for that feature on miranda. No idea how it works, though. Maybe one of the dev's can take a look at it..

the username should be saved for any account that you've added. this doesn't work like the typical AOL or MSN clients where you type in the name each time you want to sign on. all you have to do to sign on is select the account you want to connect with in the status menu when you've focused on adium...
