thank you but i alrerady solved the problem i think it was jst the fact that i was using panther but i recently upgraded to tiger (which i love) and now it works no problems

thank you for the advice but ive already tried all of the above except the fresh install of tiger still waiting to get that from you

the directory is there but there is only the file meatwad.growlstyle nothing else

i also tried searching for all files ending in .growlstyle and found only the meatwad.growlstyle

the plugin is in that file however thats the only one there and it still doesnt appear in growl

i have 10.3.9

as for raf comment i am still on panther and for the ticks comment no it doesnt show up under the display tab

i did then it says "Plug-in 'MeatWad' has been installed successfully. Do you want to configure it now?

i click yes and the it goes to the growl pref pane but it doesnt show the style

i downloaded a growl style from resexcellence but i cant figure out how to add it to the list of styles please help me
