Yes, they're on the same subnet, it's all 192.168.1.0 They all see each other fine for everything else (iChat vis "Bonjour", AFP file transfers, ssh, etc).

I have Airport, Airport Extreme and wired clients. Not sure what exactly you are looking for here. The specific test was with an iMac G5 sending to a PowerMac G5, both on the wired LAN. There are two switches between them. It seems to be the same with wired or wireless clients.

Well, I guess I spoke too soon. Yes, my steps made growl "work" after a fashion. But I have noticed that sometimes I get no notification, or it shows up several minutes later. I don't know what the delay is (the systems involved were a couple of G5s that aren't overtaxed), but that's too s...
