The window is constantly constantly scrolling and I need to halt it. I have seen I can use the arrows to press Up but then I lose my place. Is there a key I can press which halts the stream instantly?

I'm using the jabber part of adium to get updates from a blog. So a post or comment is being delivered to me almost immediately.
But smilies in the blog do not come through as smilies - just the image link.

I don't know if this is the server or the client that is causing this or how to fix it.

I login to freenode and my nick works there and I am cloaked as I would expect.

I can see that themes per connection would be good but my point is specific to twitter. Somewhere in the code it has been decided that twitter = group chat. So taking the ymous theme that is perfect for irc. It's pretty close to xchat / colloquy defaults. But because twitter = group chat I have to h...

Can I determine what is / is not group chat?

For instance, Group chat works perfectly for irc. But I do not want that theme for Twitter as I see that as distinct posts, more noise less chat. I would like to have that using my regular appearance. Is there a way for me to do this?

Figured it out for irc.

Window > Chat Transcript Viewer. Open one of the logs and click a link. This assumes adium is the default irc client.
Yet to work out IM channels.

This applies to any service.

I closed the windows so I could check a theme change. I now need to post to an open irc channel but I can't see how to do this. I'll have to wait until someone else posts there first to open that window?

Adium is open in several chats and twitter. Click the window icon and Adium closes (not quits). How do I open it without (1) quitting and starting again or (2) waiting for an incoming message? Following from this, I have my Twitter update set to 2 minutes. I had closed the window and it had re-opene...

Really looking forward to using Adium for irc. It would be nice to have the option to hide message counts for irc channels though.
