Yes it does. Just set your status to invisible and you cant be seen!

Maybe you have your dock to expand on mouseover?

This is just lsightly off topic but I remember there being a cool notification if someone closed the window. Maybe you could put both in at the same time?

Have you tried using someone elses screen name to see if its just your computer or the client itself?

Why don't you just use the official client and take the person off there. Then start up Adium again?

I'm using the beta right now but this has ben going around for quite some time now. I have quit out of Adium and relaunched it numerous times and still it doesnt change. I didn't think it worked for the stable version but I can try again when I get home.

I know you can mute the noises when you are away. So maybe you put up an away message saying "I'm still here jsut working" and then rely on the growl notifications for the important people like you said?

I'm not exactly sure which extra that is but you can always create your own custom theme to match his.

I'm using the latest beta version and I'm using DSL. I just noticed it recently so I dont think it was an older versio nof Adium. Maybe its a problem with AIM in general?
