Yup same here,
i went for the beta and it kept reseting... (1.4b17 on Snow Leopard)
i mentioned to the guys that keep the adium twitter account and they told me to try to login to live (passport.net i think) and change my name there.
its a little limited but hey, better than showing up my name.

I followed the suggestion given by the guys on the Adium twitter account.
Went to passport.net logged in and changed the name over there, it resets it anyway, but at least shows the name i put in passport.
Luckily i'm not one of those that change the name a lot, so i'm good...

Went for the beta... Still resets the msn username i'm getting tired of msn, its a shame that everyone around here uses that crap...
