In meantime I could do some checks and after a restart the connection worked for some time untill all of a sudden it's disconnecting again ... till now I can't connect anymore. The program keeps asking for the password ...

It doesn't work at all. It just worked once ... When I visited the Facebook page, Adium signed off but it just can't sign in again. It keeps asking for the right password. When I fill it in correct ... it just asks again ... and again.
