same problem over here. People contacting me do not get a time out message that the message might be lost!
suffered similar problems with other versions, except in older versions people got the time out messages!!
Have this problem since about a year... as it seems only with msn

I also had those problems. With v1.38 I got the timeouts and with the newest beta release 1.4b17 my buddies got the time out. Now It seems to work since I am using this version (http://forums.cocoaforge.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=20270).
