Is there something I can do by changing the MSN account settings?

Why can't I find the same news on Microsoft english website? Do MS think that's a localized problem?

I'm using Adium 1.3.10 in my OS X 10.6.2 and I've started having this extremely annoying problem: whenever I log in my MSN account, all my friends that were already logged in don't see me as an Available contact.
