Growl's not really an automation system - just notifications. Perhaps you might find these useful: http://homepage.mac.com/locationmanager/ http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20060218033247141#comments Thanks for the link to Location X: I'm trying it out right now, and it seems to do what...

Using Growl to execute actions based on wireless network
I've been looking for a solution to the following problem for a while: I regularly use three different wireless networks, and each one is connected to a different ISP with a different outgoing mail server. Additionally, one of the networks requires that I launch Cisco's VPN Client and connect in ord...

While we're at it, it would be nice if GrowlTunes had some options defining which information it should display in its notifications. GrowlTunes probably sends more notifications than any other app I use, but it lacks the customization a lot of the other apps offer. I never use ratings, for instance...

No notifications when corresponding app is at the front
Is this possible? There's no reason for me to get mail notifications if I'm already looking at my inbox.

GrowlTunes Album Art
Is the method GrowlTunes uses to record album art a standard of any sort? I know it's kept in a separate database so as not to fill people's iPods with album art, but is there any way to copy all iPod Photo-sized versions of GrowlTunes' art to all the MP3s it has found art for?

Re: Growl questions, and a feature request
I do not think GrowlTunes is the actual cause of your kernel panic, it accesses nothing that would cause that. Try running it again. Cool. I tried it again, and have had no problems. However, it would be nice if the program could run entirely headlessly, as I'm running on a 12" PowerBook and I...

The latest version of GrowlTunes should do what you want. Thanks for the quick response. I should've mentioned that I'm actually using Quicksilver to monitor iTunes. GrowlTunes gave me a kernel panic the first time I ran it, and I ditched it immediately. Is overriding current notifications somethin...

Growl questions, and a feature request
I've been using Growl for a few weeks now, and I really like it. Having a fairly centralized method for notifications is really cool. I hate having multiple, independent ways of doing the same thing where only one way is necessary. There are a few things I'd like to be able to do, though, that I can...
